Rules & Rewards...

So ...... if you follow my blog,  you may have noticed I have fallen off my posts a bit. Sometimes life gets in the way of hobbies and pastimes. We have been busy and I had to come up with a better plan to fit everything in my 18 hour day. (24 hours minus 6 hours for sleep)

Rule #1 -  Get up half an hour earlier
Reward - More time with my son in the morning while enjoying a relaxing coffee.

Rule #2 - Be as organized at home as I am at work
Reward - Being as organized at home as I am at work!!!

Rule #3 - I don't get to blog unless I have worked out that day
Reward - I get to blog!!!!! (bonus* I feel healthy & accomplished for doing both each day)!

BTW.... I worked out the past 3 days so I am back on the blog!

Tropical Party Fun!

In an effort to bring a piece of our holiday home my husband had a creative idea. We hosted a small get together to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and carved pineapples for fun party drinks!

Choose a knife long
 enough to cut the length of your pineapple.

Cut a square down the
length of the core.

Cut out a circle
to create your
cup, go around twice
for best results.

Remove spears.
(Save for later!)

Cut from outside to core. 

Cut out core. It works best to
cut at an angle from all sides.
This is the hardest part, be patient
and careful!

Scoop out remaining
pineapple with a large spoon
until you are satisfied
with your cup!

Fill your pineapple cup with your favourite tropical concoction! Perhaps a Pina Colada or Rum Punch?! Don't Forget to save your innards for fruit salad or other snacks!

Back from Vacay!

We have just returned from a beautiful family vacation in Waikiki Hawaii and I'm missing the sun and beach already. There is not only a lot of prep going into a holiday but equally as much getting settled and organized again back at home. I have already done 3 loads of laundry and there is still much to do. Back to work and daycare means clothes must be ironed, house cleaned and lunches packed but for now lets reminisce!
